Managing Ongoing Disorientation

I remember at the beginning of this year all the references to the “year of the fire horse”, and admonitions to get your business in order and hang on tight for the ride.

That was scary sounding enough, but nothing has really prepared me for this particular ride. I have to keep coming back to the Almaas framework from his book Runaway Realization…every expansion is followed by another contraction of trying to attach to the new “I know”. That new knowing has to loosen to make way for the next expansion, which is truer than the previous one, but includes it.

For a person who has been reading to try to understand her experience and the why of everything since 4 yrs old, and thinking she had achieved several expansions/sheddings/openings or whatever you want to call that, it has been perplexing to suddenly be faced with information about the instability of the earth’s 300 million year old magnetic field which humans are adapted to – current map here. This has destabilized my anchor to the earth – physically and psychologically. It no longer feels reliable psychologically and emotionally, and I also physically cannot feel the same magnetism barefoot outside as I used to even 5 years ago.

I don’t know how much any spiritual or energetic practice can offset the impacts to physiological function anymore. I’m guessing it depends on how intense the magnetic shift is in your own field. The recent post by Jack Kruse explains how time speeds up/aging happens faster because of the magnetic excursion. Firehorse! Haha! Good one.

My scared little ego mind is trying to figure out how much time I have before my health or senescence decays past being able to direct my own energy. Another part of me is feeling the pressure to expand my framework past the personal, come back to the present, and do my best to make my highest offering through my creations right now.

I’m still using all the little Kruse hacks to buy time(scan the ends of the patreon articles for pointers, or join his community to have access to search for tips in the content there – but I have not found searching easy, fyi, and I am a researcher. Others have listed them, you can google), and hoping my picture expands beyond “move to a better magnetic field place (like El Salvador), or else”, or some kind of clarity descends.

It’s interesting how irrelevant almost everything I ever worried about before, seems now. Spirituality, all of it. I suspect it’s partly true, and partly to do with that part of me that wants to give up when it discovers it cannot control, find ultimate safety, or have what it wants.

Right now I suspect that not giving in to this collapse impulse is the key to moving through what is here, and whatever comes next. One of my “knowings”, at least, still seems to hold, and that is the importance of the role of the nervous system, and that supporting regulation of myself and others to greatest extent possible, is still a worthwhile endeavor.

So what am I doing?…everything I can to be outside as much as possible and grounded. To keep my body moving in various ways, to resist the cravings for processed food that take me to bad places that are hard to dig out of (hello honeycrisp in season!), to let go of having to have all the answers right now, to create a little, connect a little, play a little, roll with sleep fluctuations and other weird physical happenings (vertigo!), using my hacks as needed (magnetico, DDW, baking soda, blue blockers, jadeite, and others), thinking back to Chasing the Wild Pendulum, and feeling into the deepest parts of myself for anchoring.

Weird upside: the political landscape doesn’t seem as interesting or relevant. Hearing this yesterday reconnected me with humility and the shared experience serfdom most of us have on this earth, and the experience of waking up out of our conditioning for those of us that are having that experience.

I’ve hesitated to write about these things for various reasons, but in the end, it’s probably better to have it available in case others need it. I hold deep gratitude for others out there who have courageously been telling the truth the best that they know it, admitting space for being wrong and openness to new understandings.

Peace for your day.
