Six Week Class:

Managing Emotions: A User’s Guide to the Nervous System

Mindfulness and body-based approaches to caring for your emotional self


Who this class is for:

Anyone who wants to feel more in control of their intense emotions

Anyone who wants to be able to weather ups and downs more easily

Anyone who has a specific repeating pattern of emotion (tears, anger, anxiety, sadness, shutdown)

Anyone who wants to know what it means to have “healthy” expression of emotion

Anyone who only knows 2 ways to deal with emotion: bottling or blowing up

Anyone who has trouble managing/stabilizing in between therapy sessions


What you get:

Tools and skills you can use for managing your emotions

Education about how your emotions and your nervous system work

Increased self-awareness and understanding of your own patterns and confidence in your ability to manage them

In class practice/experiential learning

Learning in a supportive group setting

Handouts and homework for supporting your practice


What you give/bring:

Six evenings of your time for one hour and fifteen minutes

$45 per session (or $240 up front for a $30 discount, or $35 each per session if you bring a friend)

Some paper and pen

Your motivation and desire to experience change in your life

Respect for other participants’ and your honest inquiry; no advice giving or criticism


Meeting Details:

The class will be a go if 8 people register by Friday, March 10 – that means first class paid or $20 deposit to hold the space. If not enough people sign up, I will move the start date to April 10 to wait for more registrants.
